Don’t Dread Your Workout, Love Your Workout

Your workout should not be something that you dread doing, it should be something that you look forward to! It’s your chance to take time just for you and you should enjoy it!

Here are some tips to love your workout:

1. Do Something You Love

Yes, this sounds like a no brainer, but seriously choose an activity that you actually like doing! Dancing, for example is a great way to torch some major calories while having a blast!

2. Mix it up

Doing the same thing everyday gets boring, so mix it up! For example, take a kickboxing class every Monday, go for a bike ride every Tuesday, practice yoga every Wednesday, etc. Mix it up to keep things interesting!

3. Have a Goal

Set a realistic goal. This will give you something to work towards, giving you the “why” you should stick to your workout routine.

4. Get Social

Group fitness classes are a great way to meet people interested in the same things as you are. This helps to change your workout from “work” to your time to socialize and interact with like minded people.

5. Get a Buddy

Find a workout buddy! They will help to keep you accountable and you can rely on one another for support when things get tough.

6. Mindset

It’s all about the mindset you go into your workout with. If you have it set in your mind that this workout is going to suck, it definitely will. Be positive about your workout and yourself going into it.
